英語中“because、as、since和for”都是表原因,有什么區(qū)別?because和for強(qiáng)調(diào)“為什么”,說話人希望大家關(guān)注原因
Because引表示直接原因,for表示間接原因,或者推斷的根據(jù)。
for引導(dǎo)的原因狀語從句一般只能在句中。
如:
Kate spoke quietly because she didn’t want Ali to hear.
Kate 平靜地說話,因?yàn)樗幌胱孉li聽到。
I’m sure it rained last night, for the ground is wet.
我確信昨晚下雨了,因?yàn)榈孛媸菨竦摹?/p>
since和as也是“因?yàn)?rdquo;,但只是附帶說明原因,說話人希望大家關(guān)注結(jié)果。
二詞差別不大,但since的理由比as更充分一些。
